I am a Canadian living here in Lima. Around 6 months ago I purchased a 2007 Lifan 150-11. I am starting to get back into riding again. I did it when I was younger (previous motorcycle was a 1963 Honda Scrambler 305) which I moded out when I was a younger. Anyways, just wanted to say Hi.

Castellano, inglés , francés , italiano, turco , depende del día.

Si entiendes español no faltará alguien que te entienda a tí.

Si hablas de motos te vamos a entender todos, no importa qué idioma hables.

Nos vemos.

Gracias,

My wife helps me out sometimes with Spanish, still can not speak it every well. Definitely can not do conversation yet. Will need one when I start going to the meetings on Wednesday. I have not made it there yet, in the process of getting my B-2 license. Which is kind of weird, have got 2 different reports from motor vehicle about the license. One person tells us, that a 400cc and higher does not need a B-2, the other person tells us 250cc or higher, does anyone know? Well better safe, then sorry. So, when I get it I will be there.

50cc seems really low. I guess everyone that does not have a license now has to get one? I do know that if the motor is 400cc and higher it is covered by the A1 license. That means anything below 399cc requires the moto (B2) license. That is nice to get that straigthen out.

Well, that's great, but how many people show up on foot ?, that would like a fish without water, seems odd. Well, next week looks like I might be getting that license......:moto2:

Ya peee, alguien que tire inglés que le conteste a TOM.

TOM : You will need a B2 license if you will drive any motorcycle with more than 50cc.
Suerte en tu examen. En el mismo sitio puedes alquilar una moto para la prueba de manejo (S/.25 creo).

Oh, then that must have changed within the last 3 weeks, my wife talked with a lady that works at the motor vehicle (Touring Y Automovil club del Peru), she told us otherwise. Is that why everyone is selling their motocycles now? Like overnight, a mast amount of people started to post selling their bikes.......Well, that's cool, be kind of crazy riding my bike there to take the test. S/25 is cheap really.

The written exam and motor test I have to take it at the course. The people at the (Touring Y Automovil club del Peru) kept telling us that the written test is not in english like the auto test is. If we want to take it we have to go somewhere else, just we can not take it there ???? We found out in the main office that I can take it with a translator at the course. So is the motorcycle test different than a auto test and if so are the cars and bikes not sharing the same road. According to personel at (Touring Y Automovil club del Peru), somebody can not get there info right. Sorry for rambling on. :znaika.gif:

Saludos

Hey,

Gracias, for all of the info, this has been most helpful. I will be at this weeks meeting on Wednesday. Hope to see you all there, looks like I will have to wait a little while to get my license. Oh well, more practice until the right day.
